Devastation

This is my poster design of a desert flower Santa Ana River Woolly-Star that grows in California.

For this project, I had to create a poster of a dying-out species. The species were given randomly, and I got a Californian flower Wooly-Star. Besides representing the flower itself, I had to use a specific word from the list that was given to me, and a quote of my choice. I chose the word “devastation” and tried to emphasize it by making the effect of a disappearing word. For the quote, I chose to put the words of Shannon M. Mullen, author of a book called “See What Flowers”. Also, I represented the sky, desert, and green ground – plants that you still might find in the desert.
